~The world outside my window…

When I look outside….

The snow has been so beautiful here lately..
I couldn't resist capturing it,
Shots through the window…

How do you like my windows, Mette?

~Hello my Friends…

I am feeling a bit better,
not great but I am doing oké!

Richard took this photo this morning
I had to share with you…
Isn’t it a wonderful picture?

(a Cyanistes caeruleus)
I don’t know the english name for the bird
Does anyone of you know?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Deze foto heeft Richard vanmorgen gemaakt
en ik wilde jullie ‘m graag laten zien
Prachtig hé?
Het is een Pimpelmeesje die regelmatig komt eten
maar nog nooit eerder op de foto wilde!
Met mij gaat het redelijk,
nog lang niet de oude ik,
maar iedere dag een beetje beter!
Fijne dagen voor iedereen!
~The Sheep
"Lazy sheep, pray tell me why
In the pleasant fields you lie,
Eating grass, and daisies white,
From the morning till the night?
Everything can something do,
But what kind of use are you?"
"Nay, my little master, nay,
Do not serve me so, I pray;
Don't you see the wool that grows
On my back, to make you clothes?
Cold, and very cold, you'd be
If you had not wool from me.
Sheep
True, it seems a pleasant thing,
To nip the daisies in the spring;
But many chilly nights I pass
On the cold and dewy grass,
Or pick a scanty dinner, where
All the common's brown and bare.
Then the farmer comes at last,
When the merry spring is past,
And cuts my woolly coat away,
To warm you in the winter's day:
Little master, this is why
In the pleasant fields I lie."
~Robin Redbreast in our garden!
Goodbye, goodbye to Summer!
For Summer's nearly done;
The garden smiling faintly,
Cool breezes in the sun;
Our Thrushes now are silent,
Our Swallows flown away-
But Robin's here, in coat of brown,
With ruddy breast-knot gay.
Robin, Robin Redbreast,
O Robin dear!
Robing singing sweetly
In the falling of the year.
Poem by William Allinghamn
Redbreast 1880 Engraving 1880 Engraving
Roodborstje tikt tegen 't raam, tin, tin, tin,
Laat mij erin, laat mij erin.
't Is hier te guur en te koud naar mijn zin,
Laat mij erin, tin, tin, tin.
't Meisje deed open en strooid' uit haar schoot
Kruimeltjes suiker en kruimeltjes brood.
Dat was het roodborstje wel naar de zin,
Vloog toen het bos weder in.
